Bus tour of “The Crown Jewel of Louisiana’s River Road”
Tours of house, gardens, and new Great River Road Museum, and a delectable catered lunch.

Corinne Martin, Ph.D., author of new LSU press book, Louisiana Herb Journal: Healing on Home Ground, will speak.

Anne Milneck, master chef, teacher, tea sommelier, and owner of Red Stick Spice, will be cooking for you! You’ll all get a taste! And learn how to make them!

Rum Distilling: An Original Louisiana Industry, Revived
Olivia Stewart, CEO and Founder of Oxbow Rum Distillery in Baton Rouge will speak on the growing and processing of sugar cane, and making it into sugar, cane syrup, molasses, and…rum. They have their own cane fields and do the whole process. Their products will be available in the Marketplace.
12:30–1:30 p.m.
Lunch (included in registration)
A working lunch, with HSA committees and special groups encouraged to sit together and exchange ideas
1:45–2:45 p.m.
Healing Tradition of Traiteurs
Dr. Mary Perrin of the Vermilionville historic site in Lafayette, center of Acadian culture, will speak on this fascinating topic. One of Mary’s books, Acadie Then and Now, has been honored by the Government of France with the Prix France Acadie 2015. Mary is a prolific author and is herself a Traiteuse.

Healing Herbs of the Traiteur Garden
Beverly Fusilier of Lafayette, a Master Gardener, Traiteuse, expert on traditional healing herbs, and an accomplished photographer, will introduce us to the healing herbs and their uses.
Mary and Beverly will have copies of their new LSU Press book, Healing Traditions of South Louisiana: Prayers, Plants, and Poultices, available and can sign copies.
4:15 p.m.
Raffle closes, winners announced

Mardi Gras Fairy Garden Centerpieces will be auctioned off!
Nouveaux Cajun Xpress band
